Touch Break is an offline Mac app. It does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, or a game server.

Optional desktop effects

If you enable Desktop effects and grant Screen Recording access in macOS, The Window and Water use images of the display on which you play. Those images may include other apps or personal information visible on your display. Touch Break processes the images locally on your Mac and holds them temporarily in memory. The app does not save or transmit them, and does not capture system audio or microphone audio.

Screen capture runs only while a game that uses it is active and stops when you leave the game. You can turn off Desktop effects in Touch Break Settings or revoke Screen Recording access in macOS System Settings. You can play without granting access.

Local preferences

Touch Break stores settings on your Mac, including the selected game, sound, haptics, reduced effects, onboarding completion and desktop-effects preference. These preferences remain local. Removing the app and its data removes them.

Sharing and retention

Touch Break does not send screen content or preferences to its developer or third parties. Screen frames are discarded when capture ends. The app does not use advertising or analytics SDKs. Apple independently operates macOS and the App Store; Apple’s privacy policies apply to those services.
